Our award-winning family-owned cottages are situated at Sewerby, just one mile from the beach, on the beautiful Flamborough Headland Heritage Coast.
We’re mid-way between the bustling seaside town of Bridlington, the quiet fishing village of Flamborough and Bempton Village with its world-famous RSPB seabird colony.

Also just a short drive away are the coastal resorts of Hornsea, Filey, Scarborough, Robins Hoods Bay and Whitby.
Whilst York is about a one-hour drive by car.

So whether you are visiting to enjoy a walking or cycling holiday or to enjoy the stunning RSPB reserves along the coastline, Grange Farm Holiday Cottages provide a cosy retreat to return to each evening.

Sewery Hall, Gardens and Zoo: An historic country house and zoo situated just 400m from our holiday cottages. Soak up some history and meet a variety of animals from penguins to llamas, all in one afternoon!

Burton Agnes Hall – An Elizabethan stately home packed with treasures, paintings and a fascinating family history.

Sledmere House – Another fine country house with a host of beautiful Chippendale and Sheraton furniture. Brings the best of art, history, architecture and gardens to life. The charm of Sledmere has been captivating visitors for over 200 years.

Burton Constable Hall & Grounds – One of the most fascinating English country houses to survive with all its historic collections.

East Riding Leisure Bridlington has a swimming pool and gym.

Sewerby Cricket Club

Fossil Hunting: Sewerby North Beach and Danes Dyke provide the opportunity for the whole family to spend a day on the beach Fossil Hunting.

Nature & Wildlife

Danes Dyke, is just along the road and offers beautiful woodland walks leading down to the sandy beach.

Flamborough Cliffs Nature Reserve has one of the most important seabird colonies in Europe. During the summer months the cliffs are packed with thousands of breeding auks, gannets, gulls and puffins. Whilst the chalk grasslands are rich in flowers that attract butterflies and a number of uncommon moths.

Bempton Cliffs and RSPB Bird Sanctuary (2.5 Miles) is one of the UK’s top wildlife spectacles. Around half a million seabirds gather here annually, from Puffins to a recent visit by Albie, the Black Browed Albatross.

The Wolds Way National Trail – A firm favourite with walkers, features panoramic views of stunning countryside scenery. Natural England has recently put the Yorkshire Wolds on a priority list for consideration as an Area of Natural Beauty.

Yorkshire Nature Triangle – The Yorkshire Nature Triangle in eastern Yorkshire is well known among local naturalists for its rich fauna and flora, but it’s a hidden secret for a wider audience increasingly keen to see more of Britain’s spectacular wildlife.

Food & Drink

The Ship Inn, Sewerby is an award-winning pub and restaurant, serving real ales and a good selection of wine, with Carvery and Charluccios, serving freshly prepared pizzas cooked in wood-fired ovens. The beer garden with spectacular sea views and live music every Sunday throughout the summer.

Blu Savannah is a clifftop coffee shop, serving freshly prepared snacks and specialist ice creams, uninterrupted sea views, a great place to sit and relax with a coffee whilst watching the world go by.

The Old Forge is a bar and restaurant that serves good quality homemade food to order. Outside seating to take advantage of the glorious sea views.

The Martonian Inn is bar and restaurant with Sky Sports, serving a selection of real ales. The carvery serves consistently good food, excellent value for money.

Towns & Villages

Bridlington

Just two miles away, this traditional UK holiday destination offers all you could wish for from the British seaside; funfairs, donkey rides and sandy beaches for the kids to play on. Bridlington’s Historic Harbour offers boat and fishing trips. Bridlington is the largest shellfish port in Europe, renowned for its Crabs and lobsters.

Bridlington Old Town has one of the most complete Georgian High Streets in England and was recently featured in the film, Dad’s Army, within The Old Town you’ll find a good selection of bars, restaurants, real ale pubs, Antique shops, and resident Artists.

Bridlington Spa is a Dance Hall, Theatre, and Cinema, hosting many famous acts throughout the season.

Flamborough

The Fishing Village of Flamborough is (2 Miles) famous for its Fire Festival on New Year’s Eve. This is a wonderful and unique event for the entire family, admission is by Ticket only, so book early. Torch Light Procession through the village, Fire Balls, Music, Ragnar’s encampment & mead Hall, Fancy dress Viking Costume Competition, and a Fireworks Spectacular.

Within the Village, there are several pubs and restaurants, a butcher, a Pharmacy, tea rooms, and 2 fish and chip shops.

Flamborough Head is famous for its caves, at low tide you can explore the caves, visit the Lighthouse, see the seals and occasional pod of Dolphins. There are several pubs, restaurants, Cafés and two Fish & Chip shops within the village as well as a Post Office, Butchers and Convenience store.

Beverley

A traditional Yorkshire market town with a 15th Century Minster, its own racecourse and a fascinating Victorian centre. Also close by to The Deep Aquarium in Hull and the Humber Bridge.

South Landing

Visit the lighthouse and cafe, and explore the cliff top walks. Look out for the seals and dolphins.

North Landing

Has a restaurant, café bar, access to beach and caves. For larger groups, we can offer additional accommodation at Grange Farm Holiday Cottages Sewerby.

Further afield

Further afield the resorts of Filey, Scarborough, and Whitby are only a short drive away.

York is just one hour away by car. This is a must visit. The walled city was built by the Romans and occupied eight centuries later by the Vikings. Famous for its Cathedral and photogenic Medieval streets, with overhanging half-timbered houses, Castles, Art Galleries, Restaurants, Markets, and street performers.
